Location: Durankulak lake, Bulgaria: 6 thousand Red-breasted Geese mixed with 10 thousand White-fronted Geese counted on crops . (I have seen with my own eyes! )
The days for observation were 30,31 Dec 2009 and 01,02,03,04 Jan 2010.

I can’t believe the sheer volume of the Geese!
Are red breasted geese from Bulgaria, and or is Bulgaria a stopping point for them when they migrate?
